In the quest for aero the most critical aspect is the human body, which increases drag more than any part of the bike. The Oltre’s precision-engineered design tackles this head-on. The handlebar and Air Deflectors reduce the athlete’s drag, amplifying the efficiency and power of every pedal stroke.

Elite innovation
A pioneering system which not just manages, but dominates the drag. This means great performance in a dead-straight line, but when the angle of the wind changes to either side, the bike truly comes alive. The Air Deflector (Patent Pending) can be found on RC and Pro models of the Oltre.

Aerodynamic Edges
The proprietary design of the cockpit reduces drag. It does this with integration of the handlebar and stem, and strategically-placed Aero Profiles along the top of the bar. These Aero Profiles are placed to reflect the flow of air over your bars, and offer an additional marginal aerodynamic gain.

Revolutionary design thinking
To create an aero bike that controls airflow, we borrowed ideas from innovative technology sectors, including automotive, aerospace and architecture. The goal is to lead the air to very specific areas of the frame, ensuring airflow is as close to the surfaces of the bike and rider as possible. The far-thinking design is enhanced by a judicious balance of paint and exposed carbon, creating a fearsome racing aesthetic that never for a second compromises on the overall weight of the Oltre.

The Oltre marks a turning point in Bianchi’s long history. For the first time, Reparto Corse has designed saddles and wheel sets, making the Oltre the most complete bike Bianchi has ever produced. The performance of athlete and bicycle together was at the forefront of the design process.
